Members of the Fairway Management Group team volunteered their time and talents to serve those in need at the Ronald McDonald House Charities. “Every year the team picks a local charity to support and serve. This year the team chose the Ronald McDonald House. I am so proud of the Fairway Management Group team and for their continued service in our community,” said Sims Garrison, Chief Operation Officer of Fairway Investments. The entire group provided and served a meal to the families currently residing at the House as well as organized toys in the “Santa Room”. The “Santa Room” allows guests who are required to spend the holidays at RMHC while a child is being treated at Children’s Hospital access to toys and gifts so their children still get to celebrate Christmas, despite being away from home. “What a moving experience it was to serve the guests and I am so proud of our FMG team for their servant’s heart,” added Garrison.
The Ronald McDonald House, cares for up to 73 guest families every night, keeping them together while their children receive medical treatment. In addition to providing a comfortable bedroom, they surround the families with love and support from volunteers, staff and other guest families who share the same hopes and fears. RMHC also provides home-cooked meals, activities, indoor and outdoor play areas, laundry facilities, computers, WiFi, and much more so that guest families can concentrate on what is most important — family.
