Preparing the pork is the first step in creating Kool Korner’s signature Cuban sandwich, which has earned accolades for more than three decades, first in Atlanta and now in Vestavia Hills. The restaurant, which reopened in March in Vestridge Commons on U.S. 31, operated nearby for six years before losing its lease in 2015. And the new location is already becoming a lunchtime favorite.
